After they pass by, they never come back, but I can’t recall is a series of photographs of remembrance. Memory is recorded over time and time in turn transforms the moment into a memory. A fluid and blurred recording in our brain, which can sometimes leave room for questioning an event that belongs to the time period of “before”. “What did I do yesterday?” “Did that really happen last year?” “I don’t remember ever saying that.” I decided to record this memory photographically as I experienced it and continue to experience it, fluid and blurred with strong contrasts. Diptychs with time series of events, images that resemble my own memories, visions without remembering when exactly they happened and without knowing if I was actually there to capture them. Low resolution is a visualization of memory, altered just like we remember things before we sleep or before we wake up. It is also a personal reaction towards the world of the clear/high resolution image. The image without imperfections, which is not real.
